We Like These People Too!

Jovie apparently thinks all these store names are hilarious….

Trying to eat toys that are JUUSSST a little too big.

My girl loves to laugh :-)

Wow

Jovie Sophia is 6 months old today.

Wow.

In Which Lexi Becomes a Hippie

Yea, I’m a hippie. I just learned the healing effects of olive oil on my daughter’s skin. It’s all natural and has no other inactive ingredients that could potentially harm her with overuse. She’s had a constant nasty rash on her chin and neck and chest because of her drooling. I decided to try olive oil 2 nights ago and it’s like new skin! It’s less red, not as dry, and she stops scratching the minute I put it on.

And NO, I don’t think it really makes me a hippie. But I also love finding natural ways of providing for my daughter when possible. I’ve also started pureeing her sweet potatoes and pears myself. We have a baby food maker so we steam it and then it blends itself once it’s done. It’s all natural, no preservatives and she will get all the best nutrients out of it.

Yep. I’m a LITTLE proud of myself. :)

It’s Been Awhile

It’s been awhile since we last posted huh? Well Jovie Sophia keeps us very busy. She’s not doing her 10 hour stints anymore really, but we get a good 7-8 hours out of her most nights. We’re cool with that. She’s been a really good baby. We love her to death and when I look at her, I can’t imagine anything ever happening to her. I know Ryan feels the same way about his little girl.

We’ll post some new pictures and videos soon. Work has picked up for the both of us, but since everyone is near and far, we want to keep the updates flowing! Especially the ones about her faces when she tries sweet potatoes….. ;-)

Auntie Ifdy is coming to visit you next week. What do you want her to bring you most of all?? ifdyperez

I know this is late, but Auntie, you brought me the best gift of all. Jesus Christ the Lord. Just kidding, thanks for the clothes. I love them. I also loved screaming in your face.

Sleepy ladies…

Obligatory 5 Month Post

Jovie is 5 months old now! What is she doing?

Sleeping in her big girl crib
Started rice cereal and oatmeal
About to start sweet potatoes
She has found her feet and laughs hysterically when i grab them and put them in her mouth for her.
She can roll from side to side. She can almost roll from her tummy to her back but hasn’t quite figured out what to do with her arm yet.
She started sitting up supported by JUST her hands yesterday.
She’s much better on her tummy. Lasts about 1 minute instead of the 3 seconds before.
She learned how to scream. She does it all the time now.
She’s teething. No teeth yet though but she DOES have a constant rash on her neck and chest from the drool.
She has a preference of people now. Mommy, Daddy, or Grandma (White Grandma ya’ll). Otherwise, give her a few hours to warm up to you.

She’s doing very well. Still seeing the GI specialist, but we haven’t had to up her reflux medicine, so we might start decreasing it in a few weeks to hopefully eventually wean her off. She’s a moody little thing still. But Jovie is so awesome. She’s starting to REALLY resemble Ryan more now and I think that makes him happy.

All in all…..yay.:-)

Jovie likes to share Easter greetings…
